IbizaPreservation holds charity dinner and show at Park Chinois, whose owners are also behind Ibiza’s Club Chinois and Beachouse
Ibiza, 10/03/23 – IbizaPreservation, this year celebrating its 15th anniversary, has succeeded in raising 100,000 euros for the conservation and regeneration of the environment of Ibiza and Formentera at a charity event held this week in London.
The charity dinner took place this Monday at Park Chinois in Mayfair, where the owners invited some 120 people with links to Ibiza to enjoy a sumptuous Asian sharing menu specially curated by Executive Chef Che Liang Lee, followed by the venue’s iconic cabaret show and live music. During the course of the event, guests were offered the opportunity to make donations to support the foundation via digital tablets and QR codes available at each table.
In her opening speech, co-founder of the environmental foundation Serena Cook emphasised the responsibility of everyone to commit to the well-being of the islands: “IbizaPreservation was founded 15 years ago because we realised the growing need to protect the natural beauty of Ibiza and Formentera for future generations. We are all here tonight because we love Ibiza, and that’s why we ask our guests to make an effort and give something back to the islands.”
For her part, the foundation’s executive director, Inma Saranova, thanked the owners of Park Chinois for hosting the event, as well as all those who contributed: “IbizaPreservation relies 100% on the generosity of our donors to support our work. The impressive amount contributed by guests to this event is vital to keep our environmental projects going and help them grow in scope and impact.”
One such supporter is Park Chinois, part of the Island Hospitality group, which also includes Ibiza’s Club Chinois, as well as Beachouse, Mikasa and Finca La Plaza, among others. The owners, Sid and Sofija Mehta, are Ibiza residents and actively support the work of IbizaPreservation.
Donations made in Pounds Sterling are to the Conservation Collective and restricted for IbizaPreservation. The Conservation Collective is UK-based, global network of foundations of which IbizaPreservation is a member.
