Indicators
Our Sustainability Observatory project conducts an annual study of socio-environmental issues on Ibiza via a series of indicators.
Data is collected across more than 50 indicators. These address key issues of sustainability, such as waste and water management, land use, sources of energy, air quality and carbon dioxide emissions etc.
Since 2019, the Observatory has focused on monitoring compliance with the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where they are applicable to Ibiza. Specifically, our team analyses data with reference to 11 out of the 17 SDGs.

Since 2021, the Ibiza Sustainability Reports published by Ibiza & Formentera Preservation’s Sustainability Observatory have been wholly financed by the Consell Insular d’Eivissa. The Consell has also subsidised the Observatory’s work on data collection for Ibiza within the framework of the 2021 4 Islands Report.
