Registration for this free activity, suitable for all ages, is open until Friday

Ibiza 03/11/2025 – The countdown has begun for the 2025 IbizaPreservation Family Fun Day, which will be held next Sunday, 9th November, in the Cala de Bou recreational area in Sant Josep. Registration is still open, and there are only a few places left, so the environmental foundation is encouraging anyone interested to sign up, completely free of charge, before next Friday, 7th November, at sportmaniacs.com.

This year, the challenge will focus on the biodiversity of Ibiza, highlighting the importance of pollinators, such as bees and butterflies. Participants, working in teams of two or three people with at least one adult, will explore the area solving 12 clues, using a map provided at the start of the orienteering race, which is suitable for all ages. “It’s an experience designed for all ages and fitness levels, combining outdoor fun with environmental learning and teamwork,” explained Juanjo Serra, founder of Ibiza Blue Challenge, which is facilitating the organisation of the event.

In addition to its educational and recreational aspects, this edition of the fun day incorporates a charitable component: for each team that completes the course, IbizaPreservation will make a donation to a local NGO helping those affected by the recent floods on the island. “We want the day to be fun and educational, but also to support the community,” explained Inma Saranova, director of IbizaPreservation.

The fastest teams will also be rewarded with bee-themed local products, while all those who complete the challenge will be entered into a prize draw of gifts provided by partner companies.

The meeting point will be next to the Cala de Bou library, where participants can collect race bibs and maps between 10:00 and 12:30. Each team can start the challenge at their preferred time, with an approximate duration of 1 to 2 hours, and the activity will conclude at 2:00 p.m.

The 2025 IbizaPreservation Family Fun Day is organised in collaboration with the Balearic Government, the Sant Josep de Sa Talaia Town Council and various local partners, such as La Sirena, Trasmapi, OD Group, Julián Vilás Ferrer Foundation, Eléctrica Marí, Soul Water and Cebo. The activity has become an annual fixture in Ibiza’s cultural calendar, uniting education, entertainment and social commitment .
