IbizaPreservation launches “Learning for Sustainability”

Joint initiative offers online learning materials about conservation and the environment to support home-schooling during COVID-19 lockdown

7 April 2020 – We at IbizaPreservation are doing all we can to help support our community through the current crisis. That includes our islands’ schools, teachers, parents and pupils, many of whom are in dire need of online learning resources during the lockdown period. We have therefore teamed up with our friends at Plastic Free Ibiza & Formentera, the Water Alliance, the Marine Forum, plus our Ibiza Produce and Sustainability Observatory projects, to launch “Learning for Sustainability”.

The initiative, backed by the Consell of Formentera, provides learning materials about environmental conservation and sustainability for primary and secondary-age children. The modules, in English, Castilian and Catalan, cover issues from climate change to water, plastics and waste and biodiversity. They will be regularly updated and are free to all, whether in Formentera, Ibiza or anywhere else in the world.
