Talamanca Beach hosted the third edition of IbizaPreservation’s Family Fun Day on Sunday, an inclusive activity designed for all ages that brought together more than 200 participants for a day of entertainment and learning. The challenge took the form of an orienteering race, with 57 teams competing to locate and answer 12 questions distributed along the route, using a map as a guide. This year, the central theme revolved around organic and regenerative agriculture.
The teams, made up of two or three people, competed to solve the questions posed in the shortest time possible. The top three finishers were: Team 50, led by Laura Cardona Torres , with a time of 50 minutes and 20 seconds; Team 41, led by Elena Merino , with 50 minutes and 30 seconds; and Team 87, led by Óscar Tolosa Estévez, with a time of 51 minutes and 38 seconds.
The winning teams each received a basket of local products as a prize. In addition, six additional gifts were raffled among all participants, including two return Trasmapi ferry tickets from Ibiza to Formentera for a family, a La Sirena gift voucher, two Burger Meets Gin menus at Ocean Drive Ibiza and a family excursion with Balearic Outdoor Adventures.
IbizaPreservation thanked all the participants for their participation and support, as well as the collaborating entities that made this event possible: La Sirena, OD Hotels, Trasmapi, Eléctrica Marí and Fundación Julián Vilás Ferrer.
The funds raised will go to the ‘Eivissa Sembra Futur’ project, an initiative focused on supporting the island’s farms by planting native varieties of fruit trees that are resistant to climate change. This project is part of the Ibiza Produce programme, with which IbizaPreservation contributes to strengthening the Ibizan agricultural sector and regenerating its soil and landscape, thus promoting local production and regenerative agriculture.
